Her office has over 1200 employees in her office and over 300 attorneys making it the largest office in the state of Florida by far, and one of the top three largest offices in the entire United Stated.
State Attorney Fernandez-Rundle is a local legend. Her efforts have brought down the crime rate in Miami year after year. She brought Miami from "Paradise Lost" and the "Cocaine Cowboys" in the 1980's and 90's, into the modern global destination that it is today.
Justin Rundle's grandfather, his Abuelo, was the Honorable Judge Dr. Carlos Benito Fernandez. He served the Miami community for decades. In fact, Dr. Fernandez was the first Cuban judge in the United States. After graduating
from the University of Havana in 1943, Dr. Fernandez emigrated to the United States to pursue the American Dream and study
the practice of law.
While serving as a municipal judge from 1961 to 1972, Dr. Fernandez fought tirelessly to help the underdog.
