The town of Palmetto Bay decided to revitalize their downtown space.
The village council unanimously approved Palmetto Bay’s Downtown Urban Village zoning code (DUV), a process almost three years in the making that involved more than 100 public presentations. This project includes 82 Residential Units and 10,000 sqft of retail space on the ground floor. The new downtown will have a mix of green spaces 🌳🌳🌳, residential space and businesses.
The tallest buildings will not exceed eight stories. Also, RESOLUTION NO. 2019-05 includes a grant to Palmetto Bay of $7.5 million for the purpose of funding public infrastructure improvements in the Village’s downtown area.
This was a mixed use project in Southwest Miami-Dade. Because it was in unincorporated Dade, the project moved very quickly.
